Website Waitlist Information
If you join the ayvia launch waitlist through ayviaapp.com, we collect the email address you submit and limited information about the signup source so we can maintain the waitlist and send launch-related communications.
Technical and Usage Information
ayvia may process limited technical and usage information necessary to operate and improve the service, including feature interactions, completed logs, application events, error information and engagement with ayvia features. ayvia currently uses internal application analytics and Supabase-based infrastructure and does not currently use third-party advertising analytics services such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel or PostHog.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to create and maintain accounts; authenticate users; save wellness logs; calculate and display goals and progress; present trends and summaries; personalize the experience; generate AI-powered responses; support Friends and Challenges; store profile photos; maintain security; detect misuse; diagnose technical problems; improve product functionality; provide customer support; process privacy requests; and comply with legal obligations.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how ayvia is used and improve the service where permitted by law.
4. AI-Powered Features
ayvia uses artificial intelligence to support features such as Ask ayvia and certain wellness insights. Relevant information may be sent to an AI service provider so that a response can be generated. ayvia currently uses OpenAI technology for certain AI-powered functionality.
AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or inappropriate for your individual circumstances. AI features are intended for general wellness and informational purposes and should not be treated as medical, nutritional, mental-health or other professional advice.
5. Backend Infrastructure and Storage
ayvia currently uses Supabase for services including authentication, database infrastructure, storage and server-side application functionality. Information may therefore be processed or stored through systems operated by service providers acting on ayvia's behalf.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No application, database, internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Profile Photos and Social Visibility
If you upload a profile photo, it may be visible to other users through social features including friend search results, friend requests, friends lists, shared challenges and challenge member lists. Your username and display name may also be visible where necessary to provide social functionality.
You should only upload photos or content that you have the right to use. You may remove or change your profile photo through ayvia.
7. How We Share Information
We do not share personal information simply because it may be commercially valuable. We may disclose information to service providers when reasonably necessary for them to provide services to ayvia.
Current providers may include Supabase for backend infrastructure and storage, OpenAI for AI-powered functionality, and Apple in connection with iOS distribution, TestFlight and App Store services.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process; respond to lawful governmental requests; protect the security, rights or safety of ayvia, users or others; investigate suspected fraud or abuse; enforce agreements; or respond to an emergency involving a risk of harm where disclosure is legally permitted.
8. Sale of Personal Information and Advertising
ayvia does not sell users' personal information or wellness information to advertisers or data brokers.
ayvia does not currently display third-party advertising. If ayvia's business model or data practices materially change, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those practices are introduced and legally required choices or notices will be provided.
9. Data Retention
We generally retain personal information for as long as your ayvia account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide the service. Certain information may be retained for longer when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud, enforce agreements or maintain required business records.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete or de-identify it. Information may remain temporarily within secure backups or technical systems while routine deletion cycles are completed.
10. Account and Data Deletion
You may initiate deletion of your ayvia account from within the application. When an account is deleted, ayvia is intended to delete the account and associated personal information from active systems, except for information that we are legally required or otherwise permitted to retain.
You may also contact privacy@ayviaapp.com with questions regarding deletion or your information.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request information regarding personal information we maintain about you, access certain information, request correction, request deletion, withdraw certain permissions, obtain information about how information is used or shared, and exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.
Privacy requests may be sent to privacy@ayviaapp.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
12. Age Requirement
